Zomato to take action against Cloud Kitchens with more than ten brands

Zomato addressed the issue of multiple brands operating from the same cloud kitchen in a blog post on Friday. It stated that it will perform manual checks to ensure that the brands served from a common location are sufficiently differentiated.

“In the future, we will manually check any physical location that operates more than 10 brands from a single location,” Zomato said, adding that even the most organised outlets in the industry don’t see operational benefits or customer trust in operating too many brands from a single kitchen. Zomato also stated that it would whitelist brands that provide a positive customer experience while serving multiple brands. For the rest, the foodtech major provided an email address to which you could reach out. Furthermore, the foodtech behemoth would display the brands served by a single kitchen within the app so that customers could make an informed choice.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it. He read the original 1982 novel by Stephen King (under his pseudonym Richard Bachman) as a boy and excitedly went to theaters in 1987 to see the film version, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
