Microsoft is reportedly planning to release Gears of War: E-Day and State of Decay 3 on the PlayStation 5, continuing its strategy of bringing Xbox exclusives to rival consoles. This follows Microsoft’s earlier decision to release titles like Forza Horizon 5 on PS5, marking a significant shift in their launch strategy.
While neither Gears of War: E-Day nor State of Decay 3 have confirmed release dates, the next Gears of War installment is projected to launch in 2026. The move signifies a broadened approach to reaching gamers and potentially maximizing revenue streams for Microsoft’s gaming division by tapping into the PlayStation’s large user base. It also presents PS5 players with access to previously exclusive Xbox franchises.
