TikTok CEO Chew Shou Zi testified alongside the CEOs of Discord, Meta, and Snap before US lawmakers on concerns about social media’s impact on children. Senator Tom Cotton questioned Chew about his ties to China and membership in the Chinese Communist Party. Chew confirmed his Singaporean citizenship and denied having Chinese or American citizenship.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it.
