WARN filings reveal engineering roles hit hardest in Amazon’s 14,000 job cuts

In what is being described as Amazon’s largest layoff in its 31-year history, engineering roles have been the most impacted, per a report by CNBC on Friday, citing Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filings with state agencies.

The report revealed that nearly 40% of the more than 4,700 job cuts in New York, California, New Jersey, and Washington were engineering positions.
