Vaaree Secures US$4.6 Million Pre‑Series A to Redefine Indian Home‑Décor

Home‑grown home‑décor marketplace Vaaree today announced it has raised US$4.6 million in a preseries A round led by PeerCapital, with participation from existing investors Peak XV’s Surge, All In Capital, and new investors Sattva Ventures and the Asian Paints family office. The fresh capital will accelerate Vaaree’s mission to make high‑quality, design‑forward home goods accessible to millions of Indian households through AI‑powered discovery, an expanded Fulfilment & Quality Verification (FBV) network, and increasing brand awareness.

“At Vaaree, we’re building for the Indian home with speed, soul, and smarts. This capital helps us go faster. Launching AI-powered styling with VibeCheck, enabling next-day deliveries through our FBV network, and taking our brand deeper into India. Grateful to our early investors who’ve backed us from day zero and pushed us to keep raising the bar for our customers”, said Garima Luthra, co-founder at Vaaree.

“We’ve backed Vaaree from the very first cheque because they’re not just building a home brand, they’re building the rails for how India will shop for home in the future. As the US $15 billion home furnishings and decor category comes online, Vaaree is setting the standard, and we’re excited to double down on that vision.”, said Ankur Pahwa, Partner at PeerCapital.

Vaaree was born in 2022 when co‑founders Garima Luthra, Pranav Arora, and Varun Vohra realised that premium craftsmanship was locked inside export‑oriented factories while Indian shoppers were forced to choose between expensive boutique stores or mass‑market uniformity. Homes should tell personal stories; we created Vaaree so every style from Bohemian to Art Deco can be shopped in one trusted place without breaking the bank. With their focus on quality assurance, the platform works with 3 out of 100 partners that apply to work with them, doing 30+ detailed quality checks before a product goes live.

Use of funds

This capital will be invested in technology, operations, and brand awareness. Soon, our AI-powered VibeCheck will let every user style their own home. Instantly creating moodboards and styling their home just the way they imagine it. Today, most of our shipments are delivered within 3–5 days, but with the expansion of our FBVs, we’re gearing up to reach customers even faster. Next-day delivery is the goal. We will also launch relatable, digital “Made‑in‑India, Made‑for‑Home” campaigns to deepen awareness across metros and emerging cities.

The Indian home‑and‑household market is forecast to reach US$237 billion by 2030. Within it, soft furnishings and décor already constitute a US$15 billion opportunity, yet remain highly fragmented. Vaaree’s platform matches shoppers, 70 % of whom are women aged 30 plus, with contextual style boards and real‑time inventory, serving a segment that is expanding fast.

About Vaaree

Founded in Bengaluru, Vaaree partners with more than 200 factories that export to premium brands internationally, to offer over 80,000 curated SKUs spanning home décor, bed & bath, kitchen, and lighting at mass‑premium, premium, and luxe price points. Focused on quality and experience, operating on a factory‑to‑home model, Vaaree maintains industry‑low return rates below 5 % while helping Indian

consumers craft homes as unique as they are.

IBM said Tuesday that it planned to cut thousands of workers as it shifts its focus to higher-growth businesses in artificial intelligence consulting and software. The company did not specify how many workers would be affected, but said in a statement the layoffs would “impact a low single-digit percentage of our global workforce.” The company had 270,000 employees at the end of last year. The number of workers in the United States is expected to remain flat despite some cuts, a spokesperson added in the statement. A massive supplier of technology to… Source link

The number of Indian startups entering famed US accelerator and investor Y Combinator’s startup programme might have dwindled to just one in 2025, down from the high of 2021, when 64 were selected. But not so for Indian investors, who are queuing up to find the next big thing in AI by relying on shortlists made by YC to help them filter their investments. In 2025, Indian investors have invested in close to 10 Y Combinator (YC) AI startups in the US. These include Tesora AI, CodeAnt, Alter AI and Frizzle, all with Indian-origin founders but based in… Source link
