UPI rebounds from November dip, ends December with new high of 21.6 billion transactions worth Rs 28 lakh crore

The Unified Payments Interface (UPI), operated by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), scaled fresh highs in December in both transaction volumes and value, rebounding after a dip in the previous month.

According to data shared by NPCI, UPI processed 21.63 billion transactions in December, up from 20.47 billion in November. The value of transactions rose nearly 6% month on month to Rs 27.97 lakh crore, compared with Rs 26.32 lakh crore in November.
