The
Unified Payments Interface (UPI), operated by the National Payments Corporation of India (
NPCI), scaled fresh highs in December in both transaction volumes and value, rebounding after a dip in the previous month.
According to data shared by NPCI, UPI processed 21.63 billion transactions in December, up from 20.47 billion in November. The value of transactions rose nearly 6% month on month to Rs 27.97 lakh crore, compared with Rs 26.32 lakh crore in November.
