Elon Musk’s social media platform X ,formerly known as Twitter is down and continues to face widespread service disruptions following a major data centre outage reported by its engineering team on Saturday morning.
According to Downdetector, which tracks downtime on popular platforms, user reports of the outage spiked to over 2,000 around 6 pm, indicating the scale of the disruption.
The problems have affected core functions such as logging in, loading new posts and accessing both the app and website.
