ByteDance’s TikTok Shop plans to ban links of e-commerce platforms like Amazon, forcing US users to use TikTok Shop. TikTok Shop is expected to lose over $500 million in the US this year, but aims to exceed $10 million in daily spending by the end of 2023. New York City has banned TikTok on city-owned devices, while a federal judge stopped the ban in Montana.
