Apple’s antitrust battle against Fortnite maker Epic Games is returning to the courtroom after both sides appealed last year’s ruling in a precedent-setting case over Apple’s alleged anti-competitive behavior.
When ruling that the tech giant was not acting as a monopolist with regard to its App Store practises last year, a U.S. District Court judge largely sided with Apple. Naturally, Epic Games disagreed with that ruling because it had hoped the court would order Apple to accept third-party payments, which would have allowed Fortnite to generate more money. Apple, meanwhile, refused to comply with the court’s order requiring it to allow apps that link to alternate payment methods.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it.
