Shares of Tata Technologies soared on their trading debut, making it the first Tata Group company to go public in two decades. Tata Technologies is a unit of Tata Motors and provides engineering and technology services to auto, aero, and heavy machinery makers. Its valuation exceeds that of its peers, including KPIT Technologies, L&T Technology Services, and Tata Elxsi. The company is valued at $6.4 billion. The IPO was fully subscribed within minutes and comes as India records a record number of IPOs this year. Tata Technologies aims to expand into aerospace, transportation, and electric vehicles.
