Tamil Nadu’s Director General of Police, Shankar Jiwal, has launched a specialized handbook, “Handbook for Investigations into Virtual Digital Assets,” to equip police officers with the necessary tools and techniques for tackling crypto-related crimes. This initiative acknowledges the growing global threat landscape within the Web3 sector, where cyber threats and criminal exploitation are on the rise.
The handbook is designed to empower law enforcement agencies to effectively investigate and combat offenses linked to cryptocurrencies. By providing access to specialized resources, the guide aims to bridge the knowledge gap and enhance the ability of police officers to navigate the complexities of crypto-related investigations. This proactive measure reflects India’s commitment to strengthening its cybersecurity defenses in the face of evolving digital threats.
