Success for “Italy Travel Tech Accelerator”, the Broxlab and Ministry of Tourism program to support Startups

Over 100 Startup candidates for the “Italy Travel Tech Accelerator” call, roadshows in 5 major Italian cities and a strong enthusiasm for the measure proposed by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with Broxlab.

With 130 Startup candidates the project by Broxlab and the Ministry of Tourism, “Italy Travel Tech Accelerator”, put in place to support young innovative business ideas in the tourism sector, ended on 31 March. The roadshow that characterized the promotion period of the call was also a success and stopped off in Bari, Naples, Cosenza, Rome and Potenza. In each of these stages, the guidelines of the tender were illustrated by the Ministry of Tourism and Broxlab and several Startups presented their pitch. The acceleration program, lasting five months, not only provides for supporting five startups with an investment in risk capital of up to 100,000 euros, to which a non-repayable grant, provided by the Ministry of Tourism, of 25,000 euro and which can be raised to 200,000 euro in the case of projects that have highlighted a high impact potential for the tourism ecosystem in Italy, but will make various services available to them, such as: support in validating the proposed solution; support for the launch of the product – service on the market; the definition of the development path, also through the identification of industrial and financial partners. The selection day is set for next April 18th.
