GSC Game World’s survival-horror shooter, Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, is making its way to PlayStation 5 later this year, following its initial launch on Xbox Series S/X and PC in 2023. The Ukrainian developer announced the PS5 release on Wednesday.
Despite facing technical difficulties and being developed amidst the backdrop of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Stalker 2 managed to sell over a million copies. The game immerses players in a post-apocalyptic, irradiated wasteland filled with dangerous anomalies and mutated creatures. This marks the first time the Stalker franchise will appear on a PlayStation console, expanding its reach to a new audience of survival-horror enthusiasts. The developers have stated the PS5 version will be optimized to deliver the best experience for the platform.
