Cyber-security company Sophos is laying off about 450 people globally including in India, which is 10 per cent of its workforce to achieve “the optimal balance of growth and profitability”.
The layoffs at UK-based Sophos were first reported by TechCrunch. However, the company did not reveal the exact figures. “Sophos announced an internal restructuring that has resulted in job losses and the beginning of consultation periods that may affect 10% of our global employee base,” a company spokesperson said. A growing emphasis on services such as “managed detection and response (MDR),” according to the cybersecurity firm, was one of the reasons for job cuts.
