Former DeFi Education Fund CEO Miller Whitehouse-Levine has established the Solana Policy Institute (SPI), a non-partisan, non-profit advocacy group in Washington, D.C. The organization aims to bridge the knowledge gap between policymakers and the Web3 space, fostering informed crypto policy and promoting Web3 innovation.
SPI will work directly with U.S. regulators, providing educational resources and advocating for sensible regulations. Kristin Smith, the former CEO of the Blockchain Association, has been appointed as President, bringing significant experience in crypto advocacy and policy engagement.
Whitehouse-Levine, a vocal crypto advocate, highlights the critical need for lawmakers to understand the intricacies of Web3 to create effective and appropriate regulations.
