Saudi-backed air taxi company plans to launch at the 2024 Olympics in Paris

France opened a hub for testing electric air taxis as it seeks to introduce the world’s first service with the new category of aircraft in time for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The facility will be run by Aeroports de Paris, which manages the major airports in the French capital, in conjunction with Skyports Ltd. of the UK, a pioneer in the development of flying-taxi bases, also known as vertiports. A passenger terminal, take-off and landing area, mission control area, and hangar are all included in the hub at the Pontoise Cormeilles aerodrome, which was unveiled on Thursday. This arrangement is as close as possible to the one envisioned for 2024.
