Samsung’s One UI 8 update, debuting on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, introduces a new AI-powered defense against voice phishing. The “Voice Phishing Suspected Call Alert” feature aims to combat the increasing threat of AI-generated voice scams.
Currently rolling out in South Korea, this innovative tool analyzes incoming calls and alerts users to potentially fraudulent activity. The alert system is exclusive to Samsung Galaxy devices running One UI 8, meaning wider availability hinges on the software update’s rollout to other devices, particularly the Galaxy S series. While initially limited, Samsung is expected to expand the feature to more users and regions in the future.
