Samsung Display confirms foldable screens for major US client, likely Apple


Samsung Display president Lee Cheong has confirmed that the company is preparing to supply foldable OLED panels to a major “North American client,” widely believed to be Apple.

Speaking to journalists in Seoul last week, Cheong said preparations for mass production are underway, though he declined to name the client, Chosun Biz reported.

The remarks strengthen speculation that Apple is readying its first foldable iPhone, expected to debut in late 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 lineup.
