Sambhv Steel extends its legacy with presence at prestigious Tube And Pipe Fair in Hyderabad

Sambhv Steel Tubes Ltd., a leading manufacturer of high-quality steel products, proudly announces its participation in the prestigious Tube & Pipe Fair, taking place in Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad from 5th to 7th August, 2024.

Known for producing 1 million metric tons of intermediate & finished steel products annually (approx.), Sambhv specialises in Hot-Rolled Coils, Cold-Rolled Coils, MS ERW Pipes & Tubes (both Black and Galvanised), and various hollow-section pipes. Sambhv is also the first company in India to introduce a narrow width HR coil with maximum width of 470mm and gauge range in between 1.5 mm to 5 mm thickness which results in competitive pricing and providing quality products with international standards. Strategically located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, a region rich in mineral resources, Sambhv has greatly leveraged optimal access to raw materials and enhanced supply chain efficiency.

The Tube & Pipe Fair is a flagship event that gathers leading brands and professionals from the steel industry worldwide. After the incredible response of the fair’s first edition, the second edition has been bigger and better for participating brands as well as stakeholders. At the event, Sambhv’s booth features a variety of engaging product displays, live demonstrations, and interactive sessions, providing attendees with an in-depth understanding of the company’s cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices. The fair presents an excellent opportunity for Sambhv to connect with industry experts, potential clients, and partners, cultivating relationships and making the most out of new business opportunities.

A defining feature of Sambhv’s operations is its backward integrated setup, which ensures superior craftsmanship and consistent quality by overseeing the entire process from refining ore to producing finished steel products. Infact, Sambhv is the sole player to have a single location backward integration manufacturing setup. This integrated approach allows Sambhv to maintain strict quality control, meeting the highest domestic and international standards.

Sambhv is further expanding its operations with the opening of a new plant in Kuthrel, Raipur (which is scheduled to be inaugurated in the next 2-3 months). Spread across 31 acres, the facility will boost production capacity and introduce a new product line, including GP (Pre-Galvanised) and SS (Stainless Steel) steel products, further diversifying Sambhv’s offerings and meeting evolving customer needs. The stainless steel production is an important aspect of Sambhv’s operations at the Sarora plant, which is spread across a whopping 90 acres of industrial land.

Commenting on the event, and expressing the company’s deep sense of gratitude at the outset, Mr. Vikas Goyal, CEO & Managing Director of Sambhv Steel Tubes Ltd., said, “We are elated to be a part of this mega fair, as showcasing Sambhv’s manufacturing process has always been our hallmark trait, something that shall continue to drive us further. As Starlink continues to revolutionize mobile internet access for remote and on-the-go users across Australia, a simple yet costly mistake has prompted a renewed warning to Aussie travellers. A caravaner recently lost a $600 Starlink Mini dish after forgetting to pack it before leaving a Western Australia campground — a misstep that’s becoming increasingly common as reliance on the service grows. Starlink, the satellite-based internet service launched by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has become a game-changer for caravanners, campers, and digital nomads needing high-speed internet in regional or off-grid locations. But as one traveller’s experience shows, convenience can come at a cost if users aren’t vigilant. The unnamed traveller shared his mishap in a popular Facebook group for Starlink users in Australia, asking if anyone at Cleaverville Campground had found his missing dish. Unfortunately, despite retracing steps and community efforts, the device was lost for good — and so was the $600 price tag attached to it. Starlink Use Surges Among Caravaners The popularity of Starlink among Aussie travellers has soared, particularly since the release of the portable Starlink Mini in Australia last year. Unlike traditional mobile internet, Starlink provides stable and fast connections via a network of low-Earth orbit satellites, making it ideal for those exploring the outback or running businesses from the road. Long-time travellers Dan and Amanda, early adopters of Starlink, warned against permanently mounting the device on vehicles. “We strongly believe in not mounting it and just using it on its stand,” Amanda explained, noting how easy it is to forget the dish during pack-up. Their advice echoes across social media communities, with many recommending visible reminders — like steering wheel notes or leaving power cables unplugged — to ensure the dish isn’t forgotten. Simple Tips to Avoid a Starlink Loss With the growing community of digital nomads and caravanners depending on Starlink, it’s vital to adopt routines to prevent device loss: While Starlink’s performance is unmatched in remote areas — often beating NBN options — it’s also a financial investment. Forgetting your equipment can result in not just a connectivity gap but a significant hit to your travel budget. The Future: Amazon’s Project Kuiper as Competition The growing Starlink user base — estimated at 200,000 in Australia — could soon have another option. Amazon’s Project Kuiper, a satellite internet alternative, is ramping up launches, with 78 satellites now in orbit. Although its rollout date in Australia remains unclear, competition could drive innovation and better pricing for Aussie travellers. Want more stories like this? The Delhi High Court has issued an interim order directing Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman and production house Madras Talkies to submit the raw recording of the song Veera Raja Veera and deposit ₹2 crore with the court. The directive follows a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by Dhrupad maestro and Padma Shri Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar. The dispute concerns the song featured in Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023), produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, which Dagar alleges was copied from Shiva Stuti — a traditional composition by his father, Nasir Faiyazuddin Dagar, and uncle, Zahiruddin Dagar. Justice Pratibha M. Singh ruled that Veera Raja Veera was not merely inspired by Shiva Stuti but “identical with some changes”, emphasizing the need to verify the originality of the composition. Additionally, the court ordered that credits for the Dagar brothers must be added to the film across online platforms and imposed a ₹2 lakh cost on the defendants. During the hearing, Justice Singh listened to both compositions and noted strong similarities in their beat and structure. Rahman’s legal team has been asked to respond to the musical notations provided by Dagar. The court also ordered the correction of the misattribution of the musical tradition from “Dargavani” to “Dagarvani” on YouTube within 48 hours. Dagar accused Rahman of lifting the composition from his family’s legacy, asserting that while the lyrics differed, the rhythm, taal, and structure matched Shiva Stuti. He said the composition had not been copyrighted but had been widely performed internationally. Rahman and Madras Talkies, however, have denied the allegations, claiming that Veera Raja Veera draws from a 13th-century composition by Narayana Panditacharya and accused Dagar of seeking financial compensation.

In the longer term, if this were to fester, this tariff war will lead to a more bifurcated world. The US is the single biggest importer in the world, while China is its biggest seller of goods. (Source: File) A full-scale trade war between the US and China is brewing, after American President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs of more than 100 per cent on Chinese goods imports from April 9. For the world, the impending slugfest between the world’s two biggest economies is indeed bad news, especially when there is already widespread upheaval in the trade world and analysts are upping the odds of an American recession . Tariffs of over a 100 per cent on Chinese exports of goods by the US would essentially translate into a trade embargo, and could potentially set off an unmanaged decoupling of direct trade between the world’s two biggest economies. The US is the single biggest importer in the world, while China is its biggest seller of goods. An escalatory spiral in the trade war between the two, inextricably interlinked economies would, in the short term, bring back market volatility after a short breather of sorts. Source link
