Reddit sues Google-backed Anthropic over unauthorised use of data to train AI models


Google-backed Artificial Intelligence startup Anthropic, which created the Claude chatbot, has been sued by Reddit over alleged unauthorised use of data.

The social media platform alleged Claude of unauthorised scraping of Reddit user content to train its AI models. The complaint, submitted in San Francisco Superior Court on Wednesday, accused Anthropic of breaching Reddit’s user policies and ignoring repeated requests to enter a licensing agreement, Reuters reported.
