
Popular Android emulator platform BlueStacks laid off 60 Indian employees earlier this week. On Monday (July 18), employees from various departments were informed via video call that their services were no longer required.
According to the sources, the startup cited internal restructuring as the reason for the layoffs. According to the source, the total number of layoffs across multiple countries could be as high as 120 – 150 employees. BlueStacks has offices in London, Tokyo, Seoul, and Beijing, in addition to Delhi. According to sources, the startup is offering a one-month salary as severance pay to laid-off employees, along with medical benefits.
