POCO X7 series to launch on January 9 with MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset


Smartphone brand POCO has announced the launch of the POCO X7 5G and POCO X7 Pro 5G. The devices are set to debut at 5.30 pm on January 9, 2025.

The POCO X7 5G is positioned as the “Segment’s Most Durable Curved Display Phone,” while the POCO X7 Pro 5G is touted as “The Most Powerful Phone in the Segment.” The company said both devices are designed to cater to users seeking innovative features and high performance at competitive price points — expected to be under ₹25,000.

The first look of the POCO X7 5G and POCO X7 Pro 5G was revealed today through an official teaser video shared on POCO India’s social media platforms.

This device marks the global debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset, which boasts a clock speed of up to 3.25GHz.

POCO said its internal testing has shown that the smartphone can achieve an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 1.7 million. The smartphone is also equipped with UFS 4.0 storage, the proprietary WildBoost 3.0 technology to enhance gaming and more.
