Passports, tickets and airport check-ins could be a thing of the past if the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) gets its way.
The aviation body has developed industry standards that, if implemented globally, will make hassle-free international travel a reality. The International Air Transport Association’s newly released Recommended Practice on Digitalisation of Admissibility is intended to allow air travellers to digitally prove their admissibility to an international destination. It would eliminate the need for check-in counter and boarding gate delays.
