The ongoing feud between OYO, an IPO-bound traveltech company, and the industry body Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) is far from over. In a new development, OYO has asked the Ministry of Tourism to cancel the FHRAI executive committee’s membership, claiming that it is ‘illegally run’.
This request was made in a letter to the ministry by the traveltech major. OYO claimed in a press release issued on Monday (February 27) that the FHRAI’s actions are “harmful to small hotel owners.” The traveltech unicorn went on to say that the executive committee was working for its own benefit “rather than the benefit of small hotel owners.”
