OpenAI’s Sora 2 tops Apple’s App Store amid copyright backlash



OpenAI‘s new short-video app Sora 2 seems to have become an immediate viral sensation, while fighting off controversy around copyright infringement. The app, which enables users to create short videos using natural language prompts, shot to pole position on Apple‘s App Store on October 3, within three days of launch. This is when the app is available on invite-only basis in the United States and Canada.
