OpenAI has officially launched GPT-5, calling it the smartest and most capable version of its artificial intelligence models to date. The company says the new model is more accurate, more efficient, and has significantly lower hallucination rates compared to previous versions.
Taking to X, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted: “GPT-5 is the smartest model we’ve ever done, but the main thing we pushed for is real-world utility and mass accessibility/affordability.”
