Ola launches ‘Prime Plus’ service in Bengaluru

Ride-hailing giant Ola has officially launched its ‘Prime Plus’ service in Bengaluru. This service aims to address the issue of ride cancellations by drivers on the platform. With Prime Plus, Ola guarantees a seamless ride experience by eliminating any cancellations or operational difficulties.

Successful Pilot and Expansion Plans

Ola had previously conducted a pilot of the Prime Plus service in Bengaluru, which yielded positive results. The upgraded level of comfort, reliability, and convenience greatly improved customer satisfaction. Following the successful pilot, Ola plans to expand the service to several more cities across the country this month.

Ola’s Official Statement and CEO’s Announcement

A spokesperson for Ola expressed their satisfaction with the pilot’s success and announced the full-scale launch of Prime Plus in Bengaluru. They further revealed plans for a gradual expansion into other cities in the near future. Ola’s co-founder and CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, also took to Twitter to share the news with customers, expressing excitement about opening up the service to all customers in Bengaluru and its upcoming launch in more cities.

Ola’s Diverse Offerings and Future Plans

Ola currently provides cab, auto, and bike services through its app, offering a range of options such as prime sedan, prime SUV, and car rentals. Earlier this year, the company made its foray into the premium electric vehicle (EV) category with a fleet of 10,000 cars. While Ola has implemented cost-cutting measures like other Indian startups, it remains focused on expansion and growth. The company has also expressed intentions to publicly list its electric vehicle subsidiary, Ola Electric, next year. Despite challenges in the funding environment, Ola continues to innovate and diversify its services, aiming to provide a comprehensive mobility solution to customers across India.
