The Nintendo Switch 2 has launched spectacularly, moving over 3.5 million units and becoming Nintendo’s fastest-selling hardware. However, this success hasn’t translated to third-party titles released alongside the console.
While the Switch 2 itself is thriving, versions of existing games from major publishers like CD Projekt Red, Warner Bros., EA, Sega, and 2K, released on launch day, are reportedly underperforming in sales. Initial data suggests these third-party titles are not meeting expectations, contrasting sharply with the console’s booming start. The reason for this disparity remains unclear, but it presents a potential challenge for Nintendo in maintaining strong third-party support for the Switch 2.
