During the ongoing trial between Google and the US Justice Department, it has been revealed that Microsoft considered selling Bing Search to Apple. The reason behind this was to make Bing the default search engine on iPhones, as currently, Apple has a deal with Google for this. However, talks between Microsoft and Apple ended at an exploratory stage. Apple was not interested in acquiring Bing due to its deal with Google and concerns about Bing’s quality compared to Google Search.
