Microsoft and digital pathology provider Paige have partnered to create the world’s largest image-based AI model for cancer detection. The model will be trained on up to four million digitized microscopy slides across multiple types of cancer using Microsoft’s supercomputing infrastructure. Once deployed, the model is expected to improve the accuracy and efficiency of cancer diagnosis, potentially leading to earlier detection and treatment.
