Yann LeCun, chief artificial-intelligence scientist at Meta Platforms, is reported to be planning his exit from the company to launch his own startup, according to the Financial Times.
The report says LeCun is in early talks to raise funds for the new venture. At Meta, LeCun recently moved from reporting to the chief product officer to reporting instead to Alexandr Wang, who was hired to run the company’s reorganised AI efforts under the banner of Superintelligence Labs.
