Massive Earth Foundation launches accelerator program for climatetech startups

The Massive Earth Foundation has partnered with the cloud giant Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Climate Angels to launch the GoMassive Climate Accelerator (GCA) program.

According to a statement, The newly launched program is open to early-stage Indian startups specializing in climate technology

Eligibility criteria for CGA program

The Massive Earth Foundation said the startups that are self-funded or have received up to $5 million in funding are eligible to apply.

The program, which spans four weeks, begins with a three-day physical boot camp in Bengaluru, followed by four weeks of online sessions.

During the boot camp, 20 selected startups will have the opportunity to interact with top climate-tech investors and experts, receiving guidance and training in various areas, including product development, design, and leadership.

Additionally, these startups will be granted up to $25,000 in AWS activate credits.

The program focuses on six key areas

The GCA program focuses on six key areas in climate technology, including digital sustainability solutions, clean energy, sustainable agriculture, low-carbon transportation, sustainable urban development, and industrial decarbonization.

At the end of the program, participants will present their startups to a group of notable investors on Demo Day, with the goal of securing funding. To qualify, startups should have a functional website and a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

What are the other programs of the Massive Earth Foundation?

Earlier in July 2023, Massive Earth Foundation (MEF) launched LowCarbon. Earth (LCE) 2023, a climate tech accelerator program in partnership with The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

The program is aimed at seeking and supporting founders who are willing to solve the climate crisis and pollution reduction through their innovative ideas and solutions.

Recently, Bhubaneswar-based climate tech startup Aurassure has raised Rs 4 crore in a seed funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures
