Micro-blogging platform Koo laid off nearly 40 employees from its operations and backend team amid a funding crunch.
According to one of the sources, the laid-off employees were mostly from Delhi and other northern Indian offices. According to the sources, the layoffs occurred over the last month as a result of a large number of people leaving the social media startup. In response to Inc42’s inquiry, a Koo spokesperson stated that the startup’s workforce has been streamlined to ensure alignment with current business requirements. However, the Bengaluru-based startup did not reveal how many employees were let go.
