IPPB announced the availability of WhatsApp Banking Services for customers in New Delhi

India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) announced the availability of WhatsApp Banking Services for customers in New Delhi, allowing them to access banking services via their mobile phones.

The newly launched India Post WhatsApp Banking channel will allow customers to connect with the bank via WhatsApp and access a variety of banking services, such as requesting doorstep service, finding the nearest Post Office, and much more.

The India Post-WhatsApp Banking solution will soon include multi-language support, allowing customers, particularly those in rural areas, to access banking services in their preferred language.

Airtel has partnered with India Post Payments Bank to deliver up to 250 million messages per month to the bank’s customers, many of whom live in small towns and tier 2,3 cities.

According to a Ministry of Communications statement, “the addition of WhatsApp messaging will increase customer accessibility to connect with the bank at their fingertips, furthering the Government’s Digital India mission, as part of which IPPB has been working tirelessly to deliver banking services in the country’s rural pockets.”
