Intel announced that customers will begin sampling its next-generation data center GPU, Crescent Island, in the second half of 2026. The chip aims to enhance AI and high-performance computing capabilities, reflecting Intel’s efforts to expand its presence in the enterprise GPU market and compete with rivals like Nvidia and AMD.
Intel said on Tuesday the chipmaker’s customers will sample its new data center graphics processing unit, code-named Crescent Island, in the second half of 2026.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it.
