Meta’s ‘Imagine with Meta AI’ website is powered by the Emu image-synthesis model. The model was trained using 1.1 billion publicly visible Facebook and Instagram images. This raises concerns about user privacy. The Emu model achieves a win rate of 82.9% after being fine-tuned with high-quality images. Meta president of Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, confirmed the use of social media posts as training data.
