Google, along with Bharti Airtel and Adani Enterprises, will build an AI hub in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam. The campus will be the tech major’s largest such facility outside the US.
The project will be built with an investment of $15 billion spread over five years, till 2030. The facility will have an initial capacity of 1 gigawatt (GW), which will be scaled to “multiple gigawatts”, said Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian.
The investment comes to India — a key growth market with a billion internet users — as AI compute demand grows rapidly….
