Google introduces generative AI to Indian search users

Google has rolled out its generative AI capabilities to users of its Search platform in India. This integration allows Indian users to seamlessly switch between English and Hindi languages and also listen to search results. Even with the introduction of this AI feature, Search ads will continue to appear in dedicated slots on the search results page.

The company expressed that users who tried the Search Generative Experience (SGE) in Search Labs responded positively to this feature.
