At Google I/O Connect, Google unveiled the Google Play X Unity Game Developer Training program, a free initiative designed to boost game development skills in India. Supported by the Game Developer Association of India (GDAI), this online training and certification program is a collaboration between Google and Unity.
The program will initially train 500 developers, partnering with the governments of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. This highlights Google’s commitment to fostering local talent and innovation in the gaming sector.
The announcement signifies Google’s ongoing investment in the Indian tech ecosystem. Alongside this training program, Google also announced the second edition of the Gen AI Exchange Hackathon, further demonstrating their focus on emerging technologies and developer engagement within the country.
