Google Cloud outage hits Spotify, Discord, and other major platforms

Several platforms, including music streaming service Spotify and instant messaging platform Discord, were inaccessible to tens of thousands of users on Thursday following an outage at Alphabet’s Google Cloud.

“Our engineers are continuing to mitigate the issue and we have confirmation that the issue is recovered in some locations,” Reuters reported Google Cloud as saying. The company added that it could not provide an exact timeline for full resolution, according to Reuters.
