Google’s Gemini mobile app now boasts an integrated audio player, streamlining the experience for users of its “Audio Overviews” feature. Previously available in NotebookLM and later Gemini, this feature allows users to upload files and generate podcast-style audio conversations.
However, a key limitation existed: users couldn’t play these audio files directly within the Gemini app. They were forced to access the Gemini website to listen. This new update addresses this issue, embedding a media player directly within the app interface.
This improvement provides a more seamless and convenient user experience, allowing users to both generate and listen to audio overviews all within the Gemini mobile application. As first reported by 9to5Google, this addition enhances the functionality and usability of Gemini’s audio features, making it a more valuable tool for summarizing and interacting with information.
