MiHoYo, the developer of the popular free-to-play action-RPG Genshin Impact, will discontinue support for the game on the PlayStation 4. Citing hardware limitations and platform application size constraints, the company plans to cease updates and remove the game from the PlayStation Store on September 10th.
While this marks the end of Genshin Impact on the PS4, players can still enjoy the game on the PlayStation 5, where the experience will continue uninterrupted. This decision signals a shift towards focusing on platforms capable of handling the game’s increasing demands and future content updates. Players who currently enjoy Genshin Impact on PS4 will need to consider migrating to another platform, like the PS5, to continue playing.
