Galaxy Unpacked 2025: Samsung announces date for Galaxy S25 series, opens pre-reserve

Samsung has officially locked in on January 22 for its next Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, California. The spotlight will be on the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 series.

Leaks and teasers suggest four devices will take centre stage: the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and a new contender, the Galaxy S25 Slim. While the S25 and S25+ are expected to share most features aside from screen size and battery capacity, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumoured to sport a sleeker, more rounded design while keeping the iconic S Pen.

The Galaxy S25 Slim model, however, is grabbing attention—it’s said to feature an incredibly thin design, a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and a 200MP main camera. If true, it could be Samsung’s direct answer to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air.

But that’s not all—Samsung might also reveal its Android XR-based headset, tapping into the growing world of extended reality.

Meanwhile, pre-reservations for the new Galaxy S series are already open in India, with a token payment of 2,000. Early birds will enjoy benefits worth up to 5,000.

If past trends are anything to go by, the Galaxy S25 series could hit stores by February 7. With just a few weeks to go, the excitement is building—expect Samsung to redefine the smartphone game once again.

Long before Edgar Wright’s The Running Man hits theaters this week, the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz had been thinking about making it. He read the original 1982 novel by Stephen King (under his pseudonym Richard Bachman) as a boy and excitedly went to theaters in 1987 to see the film version, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wright enjoyed the adaptation but was a little let down by just how different it was from the novel. Years later, after he’d become a successful… Source link
