Ubisoft has released a surprise update for Far Cry 4, a decade after its initial release in 2014. This free patch, version 1.08, significantly improves the game’s performance on current-generation consoles, specifically the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
Players can now experience the open-world first-person shooter at a smooth 60 frames per second on these platforms. This update provides a noticeable upgrade for those revisiting or discovering Far Cry 4, originally developed by Ubisoft Montreal. The initial discovery of the patch came from PS5 users, who shared the news online. The game was initially released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360 and Xbox Series S/X.
