EV motorcycle startup Raptee received a Rs 3.27 crore grant from ARAI

EV motorcycle startup Raptee received a Rs 3.27 crore grant from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The grant was made possible through AMTIF’s (Advance Mobility Transformation & Innovation Foundation) Industry Accelerator programme, which is part of the Ministry of Heavy Industries’ Capital Goods Scheme. Raptee is one of ten startups and MSMEs to receive this ARAI grant.

The funds received by Raptee will be used to develop the motorcycle’s design and core high voltage motor controller over the next eighteen months, as the company prepares to launch its first motorcycle later this year.

In 1989, the Government of India appointed ARAI as the testing and certification agency under Rule 126 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules. ARAI certifies vehicles and parts to ensure their safety, efficiency, and dependability.
