OneWeb India has secured authorizations from IN-SPACe to launch Eutelsat OneWeb’s satellite broadband services in India. This makes OneWeb India the first organization to receive such authorization. Eutelsat OneWeb, which is part of Eutelsat Group, aims to provide internet services to rural and unconnected areas in India. The company can now launch commercial connectivity services once spectrum allocation is granted by the government. The authorization is valid for five years, contingent upon obtaining necessary spectrum and other regulatory approvals.
