Indian startups raised about $177.6 million during the week of May 17 to May 23, marking a 2.7x increase from the $65.8 million they secured during the same period last year, as per data from Tracxn.
The funding tally also rose 12.7% from last week’s $157.7 million. However, the number of deals fell to 15 from 34 in the corresponding week a year ago, underscoring continued investor caution and a focus on select, high-conviction bets.

Digital lending startup Finnable has raised Rs 250 crore this August in a funding round led by Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners) and TVS Capital. This is the company’s second tranche, with the first Rs 250 crore being infused by the same investors back in November 2024.
