Edtech startup Camp K12 has reportedly laid off 70% of its workforce without paying any dues

Edtech startup Camp K12 has reportedly laid off 70% of its workforce without paying any dues to the impacted employees. Camp K12 was relaunched as an online coding edtech during the pandemic in 2020.

It provides online courses in artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality, web development, Android app development, and a variety of basic coding classes for children. Camp K12 has 433 employees, according to its LinkedIn profile. As a result, it could have fired up to 300 employees. According to The Morning Context, the coding edtech startup has not paid its employees since December 2022, and the layoffs occurred in January 2023. While the laid-off employees have not received their salaries or severance pay, the remaining employees are allegedly being denied the right to resign.
