Eccentric Engine Secures $5M in Pre-Series A Funding, Plans Global Expansion

Funding Alert

Eccentric Engine, a leading 3D technology partner for automotive companies, has raised $5 million in its pre-Series A funding round. The funding was co-led by Exfinity Venture Partners and Arkam Ventures. The company plans to use the funds to expand its global footprint and accelerate the development of its proprietary One3D platform, aiming to democratize 3D visualization on a global scale.

In an official statement, Varun Shah, Co-founder and CEO of Eccentric Engine, expressed his excitement about the company’s growth trajectory: “Over the past few years, we set out to revolutionise the vehicle-buying experience in India, offering trust and confidence to buyers through the immersive One3D platform for all major automotive OEMs. With groundbreaking advancements in hardware and AI, the scale of the opportunity has never been greater, and we penetrate deeper within India and globally. We are excited to take this next step forward with our growing partners and investors.”

Founded in 2012 by Gaurav Rane and Varun Shah, Eccentric Engine developed One3D, a real-time 3D rendering platform that transforms 3D CAD models of automotive OEMs into immersive retail experiences. The platform integrates seamlessly into OEM workflows, enabling omnichannel 3D visualization at dealerships with exceptional speed and accuracy, without the need for complex infrastructure.

Deployed in over 3,500 dealer stores, One3D has powered more than 200 million user experiences globally, partnering with major automotive brands like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Toyota, Hyundai, and Stellantis.

Gaurav Rane, Co-founder of Eccentric Engine, shared plans to enhance the company’s R&D and go-to-market strategies.
“We aim to launch an advanced version of the One3D platform by mid-2025,” said Rane. “Currently serving OEMs in India, South Africa, Japan, Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Middle East, we aspire to expand globally across six continents, including the US and Europe, by 2026.”

Highlighting the platform’s potential, Shailesh Ghorpade, Founding Managing Partner at Exfinity Venture Partners, praised Eccentric’s innovation: “Eccentric has architected a terrific platform that transforms how automotive sales experience can be taken to a level befitting the product (car) purchase. A car purchase for an individual is a highly sentimental experience and hence elevating that through an unprecedented level of immersive tech for the customer to visualize and personalise their vehicle is the need of the hour. Eccentric has gone beyond the obvious and created this platform which will empower the OEMs, car dealers and customers to accomplish this.”

With a strong foundation of seven years of automotive data, Eccentric Engine is on track to redefine customer experiences across the automotive retail industry. Its ambitious plans to expand globally and introduce advanced features to the One3D platform by mid-2025 signify its commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions.
