Early-stage investor Transition VC announces close of debut fund at Rs 700 crore

Early-stage venture investor Transition VC has announced the close of its debut fund at Rs 700 crore, almost double its original target of Rs 400 crore. The fund drew commitments from institutional investors, corporates, family offices, strategic partners, and industry leaders.

Founded by Raiyaan Shingati and Mohammed Shoeb Ali, Transition VC touts itself as the country’s first venture fund focused on the energy transition. It backs engineering-led, deeptech ventures that work on how energy is produced, stored, moved, and consumed.
